To join our men’s golf club, you must have your own golf clubs and have an attitude that golf is a game that you’ll never fully accomplish and conquer. It’s a given amongst our members, that this game is not meant to defeat you, but each one of us is on a journey to give it our best to become the best golfer we can be. But during this process, each of us will meet new friends, be encouraged to learn the elements of this great game, and be able enjoy the success that comes through playing this game. Playing all the many beautiful courses here in San Diego / Temecula areas gives us a sense of gratitude to our Lord and Heavenly Father for allowing us to enjoy such a game.
Official Golf Handicap – Our affiliate club “Seacoast Christian Golf Club” is part of the Southern California Golfer’s Association (SCGA) which in turn is a part of the nation wide United States Golfer’s Association (USGA) which utilizes the universal GHIN system . When you join our affiliate club Seacoast Christian Golf Club, you will automatically be plugged into the USGA / SCGA / GHIN system.
The USGA, SCGA, and GHIN are interconnected pillars of the golf handicap system in the United States, working together to provide golfers with an officially recognized and universally trusted Handicap Index
1. USGA (United States Golf Association) The USGA is the governing body for golf in the U.S. and Mexico. They write and interpret the Rules of Golf, establish the Rules of Amateur Status, and oversee the World Handicap System (WHS).
2. GHIN (Golf Handicap and Information Network) GHIN is a digital handicap computation and management service established by the USGA. It is the unique identification number assigned to you, and the mobile app/system used to track your stats, post your scores after a round, and calculate your Handicap Index.
3. SCGA (Southern California Golf Association) The SCGA is one of the USGA’s authorized regional associations. Because you cannot get a USGA Handicap directly as an individual, you must join an authorized Allied Golf Association. If you are a golfer in Southern California, the SCGA is your local association.

Once your membership is established you can start “posting” your golf scores and by doing so, you’ll begin your journey of having an official golf handicap index. You need a minimum of 3 golf scores to have an established golf index. If you already have an established index through another club, you can still “join” our club and you’re stats and existing golf info will be transferred to our club affiliate. Also you may continue to have memberships multiple clubs within the SCGA system.
