July 10, 2026 Results – The Crossings @ Carlsbad GC -

We had a full field of 23 players who came out today to challenge The Crossings @ Carlsbad GC, in Carlsbad. The weather was perfectly pleasant and we were totally blessed with late morning sunshine. The course was in great conditions and especially the greens were perfectly groomed. “A” Game skills in course management were most needed today. Getting your approach shot on the proper side of the green was essential. Only players who have their game “tuned in” were able to overcome all the challenges and post a low score. If you found your ball in an errant spot, then you were going to pay the price of 2-3 strokes. There is no easy recovery spots on this course. Overall the players had fun, but many complaints and reports of unfavorable shots filled the clubhouse at the end of the round.

Summary / Recap of Today’s Event 7 –

We had a fun filled day of golf as we were all blessed by perfect golfing conditions today. Navigating this course with high level golf course management skills was a must. Steve Osborn made his presence today and showed off his “A” game golf skills as he showcased an example of how to play this course. Only a few small blunders for him for the day….but he escaped with an impressive low gross 74 / low net 69 for the day. Way to go Steve !!! John Estill racked up 90 points today to help him climb up the leaderboard. Curtis Chan held steady today and somehow found himself at the top of the leaderboard, but closely followed by Ted Clinite who is eyeing to take over the top spot. Our next event will be a “Major” event so “big” points will be available to earn. We have only one regular season event left, and then we jump in to our “Playoff Season.” There’s still time to add to your points totals…as the top 24 players will end up having a chance to compete for our 2026 Seacoast Cup Championship trophy.

USGA / GHIN – Membership Responsibilities “POSTING GOLF SCORES” – It is very important for all of us to have a good understanding of “golf handicap” and your “golf index” profile. One of the elements of golf is the “integrity” of each player taking personal responsibility to post all qualified golf scores within 24 hours of date of play. Your golf index is calculated daily and it is important to keep your golf profile as current as possible. Failure to keep it current and NOT POSTING on a timely basis may be grounds for “penalty rounds” to be assessed. If you have any difficulty or don’t completely understand the process, please visit the USGA learning center that explains via video all the info you need to know about “golf handicapping”

Player’s profiles and golf rounds are all subject be audited by the golf committee. All players are required to “POST” their golf grounds ASAP as index ratings are calculated daily. Please use Ghin.Com / or phone app to post your scores.
