For our events, players are placed in golf “Flights” depending on their golf abilities reflected from their official monthly golf indices. With that, players will be competing in a few categories. Within their respective “Flights” players will compete for LOW GROSS scoring. Then against the entire field of players, each player will score points from NET SCORING against the field. There are individual points that can be earned from: “Best Nine” low gross scoring, “NET SKINS” scoring, and “Pin Competition” holes (closest to pin / long drive holes). All the scores are tallied up each month and players will earn points according what they did that day.

Recap Event 5 – With our sixth golf event in the books, we had a great showing of 32 players who came out to play. The weather was picture perfect as are early morning 7:00a tee times were greeted by Temecula’s best morning sunshine. All the players could attest how nicely groomed this course is, and greens were true and smooth. If you want another stab to play this great course our “Summer Golf Extravaganza” event will be held here (July 29) . See link below.
To the Action Today ! Ryan Alexander pulled out his “A” game skills and calmly made his way around this course and shot a cool 75 low gross today. Ted Clinite survived his “not so good” golf round today, and still kept his top seeded position on our Leader Board. Many other players felt the pain of the many challenges this course brings, and posted scores they would rather forget by the use a pencil eraser. A few note worthy tidbits from today: Jeff Schafer’s CPA accountant, Adam Lavoignet, joined us for the first time and he posted a great Low gross 70 / Low Net 66 which dropped him 110 points to his name on our score board. Adam reported he played the round of this life today and was so happy to join our group today. Tom Martinson brought in a working colleague who was able to get away from his home front as he just had a new baby arrival. His wife gave him the green light to come out today and play a round with us. Welcome Jared !…glad you could get a break from your new routine and “Congratulations ” on your new baby.
Other Notables: Scott Crocket made a substantial move this week, by racking up 90 points and moved from 7th to 4th spot. Curtis Chan ( his 3rd event of year) proved he’s returning back to golf after his car accident incident from 6 months ago, as he moved from 24th to 18th seeded spot (earning 80 points) . Curtis reports that his rehabilitation is slowly but surely. Perhaps taking it slowly has helped his golf swing. Tom Liscum put in some fancy scoring by scoring well on several holes to take 3 Net Skins into his pocket. Other players who earned more than +75 points this week were, Ryan Alexander and Paul Deveau….Way to go guys !
There’s plenty more golf waiting to be played in our golf season, and there’s a large group of guys eager to activate their “A” game to make it into this year’s playoffs. Here’s the calendar of events for this year so you can plan accordingly.

USGA / GHIN – Membership Responsibilities “POSTING GOLF SCORES” – It is very important for all of us to have a good understanding of “golf handicap” and your “golf index” profile. One of the elements of golf is the “integrity” of each player taking personal responsibility to post all qualified golf scores within 24 hours of date of play. Your golf index is calculated daily and it is important to keep your golf profile as current as possible. Failure to keep it current and NOT POSTING on a timely basis may be grounds for “penalty rounds” to be assessed. If you have any difficulty or don’t completely understand the process, please visit the USGA learning center that explains via video all the info you need to know about “golf handicapping”
Player’s profiles and golf rounds are all subject be audited by the golf committee.
