Recap Event 2 – With our third event in the books, we were challenged with a tough course here at Twin Oaks GC. Our field of players felt the challenges of this course as many got “stung” with 3 and 4 putt greens as it was reported that they were running at 12 on the stint meter. In Flight “A” Ted Clinite took charge of his game and proved that he can play under touch conditions by firing and scoring a low gross 82. John Casey (Flight B), our current 2025 Seacoast Cup Champion, came out swinging and showcased his “A” game skills with a low gross 85, to prove why he can defend his cup and again put his name on the 2026 cup. John Casey also took “LOW NET” honors with a low net score of 69. Also “staying out the rough” today was Paul Deveau who posted a low gross 87 in the “C” flight . One of our new comers this year is Johnny Flores (in Flight “D”) who posted a low gross 96 . He was able to keep his ball in play and avoided too many 3 putts today.
Our leader board stirred up a bit as a few players jumped a few positions as they received more early season points. Paul Deveau with his low gross and low net scoring added him 100 points to take himself in 1st place position…being closed trailed by John Casey, who earned 105 points today. Both players reported in the media room that they had a tough day “grinding it out” to keep their ball in play all day. And their course management skills were sufficient enough to rise to the top of the board against the field today.
It’s early in the season, and there’s a large group of guys eager to activate their “A” game to make it into this year’s playoffs. Here’s the calendar of events for this year so you can plan accordingly.

USGA / GHIN – Membership Responsibilities “POSTING GOLF SCORES” – It is very important for all of us to have a good understanding of “golf handicap” and your “golf index” profile. One of the elements of golf is the “integrity” of each player taking personal responsibility to post all qualified golf scores within 24 hours of date of play. Your golf index is calculated daily and it is important to keep your golf profile as current as possible. Failure to keep it current and NOT POSTING on a timely basis may be grounds for “penalty rounds” to be assessed. If you have any difficulty or don’t completely understand the process, please visit the USGA learning center that explains via video all the info you need to know about “golf handicapping”
Player’s profiles and golf rounds are all subject be audited by the golf committee. All players are required to “POST” their golf grounds ASAP as index ratings are calculated daily. Please use Ghin.Com / or phone app to post your scores.
