“Post A Score” will now be accomplished through GHIN.com and the USGA GHIN Mobile App where you will also have access to your stats, complete score history, Handicap Calculator, Golfer Lookup, and Handicap Card.
Keep in mind, that a GHIN Digital Profile is required to post scores on GHIN.com and through the USGA GHIN Mobile App. If you have not used GHIN.com or the GHIN Mobile App to post scores, you will need to use the “Create Profile” button to create your digital profile. It is easy to do and just takes a few minutes.

Today’s “Top 8 / Quarter Finals” also included a “Match Play” or “Match Play Card-Off” – Players would be paired up in “match play” and compete against the player based upon their position on our leaderboard. Note only players with “official golf index” qualify for “match play” points.

Recap Event 11 – With our 11th event in the books, we all had a fun time on this gorgeous day of golf. The course was challenging, true and fun, as the course superintendent portrayed his grooming skills to provide a very nice venue for us. Player’s need to have their “A” game in course management skills, and keeping their ball “in play’ was a premium. This course can easily beat you up if you don’t find the fairway or green. The greens were smooth, receptive and true. In our “Flight A” group, Ebin Smith took charge and fired a low gross 38 on the front nine, showing why he is a TOP 8 contender this year. But Ebin’s playoff hopes came to halt as his “match play” opponent Mike Haug from “B” flight took charge of his game and managed to take a win in his match against Ebin to solidify a TOP 4 spot. Mike was “on fire” and kept the metal to the pedal in his play today as he focused on “fairways and greens” in managing his play today. In the “C” flight, Bill Miller showcased his golf management skills and took 1st place honors in Flight “C” in our field.
Several other TOP 8 / Quarter Finals – Championship Cup matches were fiercely battled and ended up in a TIE Match. With that points were evenly distributed, and some players still barely kept their Championship Playoff hopes alive as their season points totals kept them in the TOP 4 contending spots. Both Clinite vs. Baynes and Casey vs. Chan matches ended in TIE Matches allowing Clinite and Casey to move on in the playoffs. In the Paul Deveau vs. Alan Hoekstra match, Paul took early charge of the match and kept his momentum going throughout the match to prove why he might be the player to take the trophy this year.

Post Game Interviews:
Deveau vs. Hoekstra : When asked how the round went today, Paul said ..”My game was intact today…I just kept making sure I kept my ball in play. I mentally had to remind myself that I have the skills to play well..but I need to focus on my game. Ross is a contender and he knows how to win as he was a past champion a few years back. I’ve had my chances over the years..but I’m going to take my game to a new level….I’ve prepared for this day and I paid off as I mostly minimized my mistakes.” Alan responded by saying…” Paul really had me against the wall most of the day. We were back and forth on the front nine..but when I took a double on #10, it seemed to ignite his game and it was hard to bounce back.”
Clinite vs. Baynes : Ted explained…” I knew I had to give Geoff a bunch of stokes today…but he’s a very solid competitor as he kept pace with my game to keep the match ALL EVEN by the end of the front 9. Then on the back 9, Geoff couldn’t miss a shot as he kept dropping pars in timely spots that kept the match going. We ended up in a TIE, but I feel he elevated his game today. “ Geoff reported and said …”I was so close to beating Ted today…a very hard thing to do… the last hole did me in as I took a triple to let him back into the match. It was a fun day… and I had a fun time with Ted.
Casey vs. Chan : John had a grimace smile on his face as his match was full of fireworks….John said ..”I had Chan on his heels most of the day…but then by the end of the 8th hole he seemed to kept letting crucial putts go my way. He must of lipped out 2-3 holes which would have tuned the tied. By the end of 13th hole, I had a 2 UP lead which suddenly changed when I kept slicing my drives OB and having to give up 2 holes in a roll to let Curtis back into the match. We battled to the very end, but that 4 footer at the end which he missed gave me the chance to continue on in the playoffs.”…Curtis shaking his head explained…“John was a tough match today…both he and I have similar skill sets on the golf course..but he just didn’t make mistakes..until he started putting his drives into the trees…I took advantage of the “open door” he gave me..but I just didn’t fully seal the deal. I missed several crucial short putt that would have made the difference. I’m happy for John as he racked up enough points to solidified a spot to continue on.”
Smith vs. Haug: Mike was all smiles as he know he was the “underdog” in today’s match….“Ebin was playing his steady game and I knew I had to be on my “A” game to have a chance today. After my triple on #2, I settled in and was able to keep pace on the front nine and not let Ebin get too far away. I knew if I could at least keep pace with Ebin I might have a shot. When He took a double on #11, I was able to turn my game on and I didn’t look back. I felt kind of numb at the end, as it was a experience I’ll never forget as I was competing and keeping up with a great player.” Ebin made a few comments saying…”Mike was able to play skillfully today, and didn’t make too many blunders. Spotting him +12 stokes is a tough thing to do…but I did my best. When I took that triple on #11 , and also a double on the par 3 #13, that did me in. Even though I was able to “par” the remainder of the round….I was not match for his steady play. He deserved the WIN today as he had his “A” game in his bag today .”
The Playoff Season continues on as our TOP 4 will continue to compete for points in the “Championship Cup” division. All other players are still welcome to compete in the “Players Cup” division. Your current playoff points will still remain in play, and you just need to come out to play earn more playoff points as we continue our competition. It’s now almost the end of our regular golf season, and there’s a large group of guys eager to activate their “A” game to make it into this year’s playoffs. Come on out and post low scores and you’ll find yourself climbing our leaderboard to the playoffs. Here’s the calendar of events for this year so you can plan accordingly.
2025 TOP 4 – Semi Finalist
Our “Post Season” playoffs are fully engaged. Event 11 , “Quarter Finals – TOP 8” round of our playoffs is in the books and with our “Playoff Season” format, anyone can rack up playoff points to get to the next level. As proven today at Native Oaks GC, several players made their post season move and climbed up the ladder to position themselves in the TOP 4. Our next playoff event will be on October 3, where the pressure and excitement elevates as the points value increases and the quest to be a “Finalsit” player will be fought by four eager golfers. Our golf season is now transitioning into our ” Seacoast Cup – Playoff Season” and this is the time when players must activate their best golf game skills to make it deep into the playoffs. The competition is fierce and every point counts. If you are not familiar with how our playoff season works, please study the calendar below so you can understand how you can make it into the playoffs and perhaps be a candidate to hoist the trophy this year.

USGA / GHIN – Membership Responsibilities “POSTING GOLF SCORES” – It is very important for all of us to have a good understanding of “golf handicap” and your “golf index” profile. One of the elements of golf is the “integrity” of each player taking personal responsibility to post all qualified golf scores within 24 hours of date of play. Your golf index is calculated daily and it is important to keep your golf profile as current as possible. Failure to keep it current and NOT POSTING on a timely basis may be grounds for “penalty rounds” to be assessed. If you have any difficulty or don’t completely understand the process, please visit the USGA learning center that explains via video all the info you need to know about “golf handicapping”
Player’s profiles and golf rounds are all subject be audited by the golf committee. All players are required to “POST” their golf grounds ASAP as index ratings are calculated daily. Please use Ghin.Com / or phone app to post your scores.
