Recap Event 1 – With our first event in the books, we had a great start with Scott Jordan (Flight C) showing off his “A” game skills by posting a low gross 88 / low net 71 on the score board. Other notables: Ted Clinite(Flight A) -finished strong posting a low gross 82 to prove that he’s got a steady golf game. Ted also wins both categories of “Best 9” for both front and back. For many players the front nine was a total “shaky start” but as the day progressed, players were able to get the scoring band wagon on the back nine. Paul Deveau (Flight B) also showed off his 2022 swing and proved he can be a challenger this year for the the Seacoast Cup Trophy. Lee Fitzgerald (Flight C) had a low gross 90 which proved he can be a big factor in making a run at the 2022 Cup this year. Ron Brillantes (Flight D) proved he has the ability to be a contender this year and posted a low gross 97 to clearly beat all the D players. Todd won his flight and posted a low gross 91.
Scott Jordan, visiting from Portland, has been a past regular with our group. Today he showcased his 2022 swing and set the standard for us all by wining the low net with a 71.
It’s early in the season, and there’s a large group of guys eager to activate their “A” game to make it into this year’s playoffs. Here’s the calendar of events for this year so you can plan accordingly.
USGA / GHIN – Membership Responsibilities “POSTING GOLF SCORES” – It is very important for all of us to have a good understanding of “golf handicap” and your “golf index” profile. One of the elements of golf is the “integrity” of each player taking personal responsibility to post all qualified golf scores within 24 hours of date of play. Your golf index is calculated daily and it is important to keep your golf profile as current as possible. Failure to keep it current and NOT POSTING on a timely basis may be grounds for “penalty rounds” to be assessed. If you have any difficulty or don’t completely understand the process, please visit the USGA learning center that explains via video all the info you need to know about “golf handicapping”
Player’s profiles and golf rounds are all subject be audited by the golf committee.
