Recap Event 6 – Players got off early and took on the challenge of The Links at Lakehouse. Ted Clinite came out with his “A” game and displayed his full golf swing skills posting a low gross 78. Ted declared he should have done better as he lipped out at least 3 putts that should have dropped, but “that’s golf!” Also in our “A” flight, Steve Osborn showcased his new irons which scored him “80” to prove that he could be a contender if only he could be out more with our group. Steve’s “laser guided” long drives racked him up a few “Long Drive” pins. Ebin Smith has also been tuning up his swing this year and he steadily posted a solid low gross “79” which helped him climb up the leaderboard to 2nd place.
In our “Flight B” Ron O’Bard kept his golf composure and posted a low gross “86”on this challenging course, which helped his efforts to solidify a spot as we get nearer to the playoffs. Alan Hoekstra, also played steady today and held off any contenders for top spots on our leaderboard, and now Alan has taken over the coveted 1st place spot on our leader board.
In “Flight C” Mike Haug, revived his golf game and displayed elements of “golf greatness.” He admits that his game has been off for the past few years, but today something clicked and his golf bag became alive. Mike posted a low gross “84” which helped his efforts to gain needed points for the year.
In “Flight D” Nick Zoch went low and posted a low gross “84” / Low net “63” which gave him overall honors of earning up big points (155 pts). Nick now sits at 5th place position.
Noteables: Curtis Chan nabbed 2x Closest to the pins as he pin pointed his irons to get close to the par 3s…he made a birdie putt (net eagle) on #11 which earned him a “net skin”…all this added up 125 points towards his season totals and dropped him into 7th place…..Way to go “Chan Man” !

USGA / GHIN – Membership Responsibilities “POSTING GOLF SCORES” – It is very important for all of us to have a good understanding of “golf handicap” and your “golf index” profile. One of the elements of golf is the “integrity” of each player taking personal responsibility to post all qualified golf scores within 24 hours of date of play. Your golf index is calculated daily and it is important to keep your golf profile as current as possible. Failure to keep it current and NOT POSTING on a timely basis may be grounds for “penalty rounds” to be assessed. If you have any difficulty or don’t completely understand the process, please visit the USGA learning center that explains via video all the info you need to know about “golf handicapping”
Player’s profiles and golf rounds are all subject be audited by the golf committee. All players are required to “POST” their golf grounds ASAP as index ratings are calculated daily. Please use Ghin.Com / or phone app to post your scores.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact
