 Friday, July 2, 2021 – The Crossings @ Carlsbad

Today we had 27 players come out to compete in our 7th event of the year.   The Crossings @ Carlsbad has always proved to be a testing ground for the golfer’s full complete game.   Short holes still have many hazards and difficulties on the greens making countless decisions for the golfer to “go for it” or “play it safe a lay up.”   Whatever the case,  many in our field showed that this course can be quite the challenge.  One player who seemed to enjoy his day was Ryan Alexander who got his first “ACE” / Hole in One on hole #9.   Way to go Ryan !!!!

GREAT SCORING –  The tournament committee is pleased to recognize and award those players who stand out and exemplify great golf playing.   Below are players who proved they have “A” game ability this past round.  Congratulations to all these players.

Recap Event 7 – With seven events in the books, we are now into the Summer events of our 2021 Seacoast Cup golf season.  There are still plenty of golf events available to score points to make the 2021 Seacoast Cup Playoffs starting September 2021.   Our leader board is still headed up by Ted Clinite who managed to thwart off any players to take over the top spot.  Lee Fitzgerald has been chasing, but Ted continues to keep the pedal to the metal and consistently keeps his game under control.  Nice work Ted !!

One of our players in our field took on the course today and earned over 100+ points .  Congrats to Brian Carter, who displayed great golf course management skills as he fired off a low gross 83 in Flight C.   Brian explained in the media press room that his game is getting better and better each month as he sets his sights on the playoffs this season.

Noteables:  On Par 3 Hole #9 – Group 2 / Ryan Alexander Scores ACE (hole in one) , Jeff Schaefer & Kent Coykendall score “birdie”, and Jim Hopson scores a par.  Way to go guys!…and a BIG CONGRATS to Ryan for the HOLE IN ONE !

The Seacoast Christian GC golf season now in full stride with players making their moves on the leader board.  If you plan to come out mark your calendars for the remainder events listed on our events calendar.
